Glass Railing Systems for Decks, Stairs & Balconies

Modern, code-compliant glass railings that don't block your view. Professionally engineered and installed throughout the Ottawa Valley.

Don't Block Your Hard-Earned View

You built your deck to enjoy the view. Why block it with wooden or metal balusters?

Glass railings give you an unobstructed sightline while providing safe, code-compliant barriers. They're surprisingly durable, require less maintenance than wood, and add a contemporary touch to any property.

We've installed glass railings on everything from cottage decks overlooking the lake to urban balconies and interior staircases. Our team handles the engineering, fabrication, and installation—you just enjoy the view.

Applications

Deck Railings

The most popular application. Tempered glass panels let you see your yard, your lake, or your garden without obstruction.

Balcony Railings

Condo balconies, rooftop terraces, and second-story overlooks. We work with property managers and individual owners.

Stair Railings

Interior and exterior staircases. Glass opens up the space and lets light flow through.

Pool Fencing

Glass pool fencing meets safety codes while maintaining visibility. Keep an eye on swimmers without chain-link barriers.

Porch Enclosures

Partial glass walls for covered porches and patios. Block the wind while preserving the view.

Railing Systems

Frameless Glass Railings

Maximum transparency. Thick tempered glass (typically 1/2") mounted in base shoes or standoffs. No posts blocking your view. The premium option.

Post-Mounted Glass

Glass panels between aluminum or stainless steel posts. More economical than frameless while still providing an open view. Various post styles available.

Glass with Top Rail

Glass panels with a continuous handrail on top. Some codes require this for certain applications. Available in wood, aluminum, or stainless steel.

Glass Options

Clear, tinted, frosted, or low-iron glass. Various options to balance visibility, privacy, and aesthetics.

What Our Customers Say

"We are extremely well satisfied with our experience with Centennial Glass. We wanted to replace a 40-year-old oak railing with one made of glass. Everything exceeded our expectations. Our new railing is beautiful and we cannot say enough positive things about our interactions with Thomas and Kyle."

— Paul Murray

Frequently Asked Questions

Are glass railings safe?

Yes. Tempered glass is required by code and is extremely strong. It's the same type of glass used in car side windows. If it does break (rare), it crumbles into small, relatively harmless pieces.

How much do glass railings cost?

More than wood, comparable to high-end metal systems. Pricing depends on linear footage, system type, and site conditions. We provide detailed quotes after assessment.

How do I clean them?

Standard glass cleaner and a squeegee. Some clients spray them off with a hose periodically. Much easier than maintaining wood.

Can you retrofit existing railings?

Sometimes. It depends on the existing post structure. We assess each situation individually.
